Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in infrastructure automation, cloud security, and GCP services. This is a client-facing, hands-on role that involves architecting and implementing secure, scalable cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient GCP infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Ensure cloud security (SecOps) through identity and access management, data protection, vulnerability assessments, and compliance.
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE) for container orchestration and microservices deployment.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance using GCP-native and third-party tools (e.g., Google Cloud Operations, Datadog).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality cloud-based solutions.
- Participate in incident response and implement mitigation strategies for high availability and fault tolerance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in GCP.
- Proven experience in Terraform (3+ years).
- Solid hands-on experience with GCP services such as:
- Compute Engine
- VPC Networking
- Cloud SQL
- Cloud Storage
- GKE
- IAM
- Cloud Functions
- Pub/Sub
- Strong scripting skills using Python or Bash (2+ years).
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (1+ year).
- Understanding of cloud security practices and incident response.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- GCP Professional Cloud Engineer or GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification.
- Experience with other IaC tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Familiarity with logging/monitoring tools such as Google Cloud Operations, Splunk, or Datadog.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps culture.
